Why a tall lamp? Generally speaking, the reason why people find decorating so interesting is because it's a challenge that isn't always easily solved.

First, you will really need to stop and take stock of the room that you want the tall lamp to go in. The best approach at this point is to make sure that you have a clean space to work with.

Finally, you will want to make sure that the tall table lamp or tall floor lamp that you purchase has a nice lamp shade to go with it. There is something about getting really nice tall lamps that also come with a quality lamp shade. Even if you want to substitute the lamp shade later, having a tall lamp that looks gorgeous form the day it arrives in your house is often the best way to go.
